BESS Sizing Calculator & Solution Finder
Quick answer: estimate the battery energy, PCS power range and suitable Zevonexa solution from your load, backup duration, solar, generator and grid conditions. This is a preliminary engineering estimate, not a final system design.
1. Estimate your BESS size
Advanced engineering assumptions
These are adjustable screening assumptions, not Zevonexa performance guarantees. Replace them with verified project and equipment values during engineering.
Basic mode uses load × backup hours with a 20% preliminary margin. Advanced mode is applied only when the checkbox above is selected, and then also adjusts for the user-selected usable DoD and AC delivery efficiency. Final PCS rating, C-rate, SOC window, degradation allowance, redundancy and protection design require project-specific engineering.
2. Find your BESS solution by project problem
3. Compare solutions by outcome, not only specifications
Support high-demand periods.
Store solar for later use.
Reduce generator runtime where operating strategy permits.
Support selected critical loads.

5. Send your calculator result to Zevonexa
Your calculated power, energy, PV, generator and backup inputs are automatically copied into this RFQ form after calculation. Complete your contact details and project location so our team can review the result.
Calculate above, then send the project inputs below. Our team can review the preliminary size against the real load profile, grid condition, PV/generator capacity and project stage.

Common BESS sizing questions
How many kWh of battery do I need for a 500kW load?
Battery energy depends on the load that must actually be supported and the required duration. A 500kW load supported for two hours is 1,000kWh before design margins, efficiency, usable SOC window and project-specific constraints are considered.
Is kW or kWh more important?
Both. kW describes power capability; kWh describes stored energy. A project can have enough energy but insufficient power, or enough power but insufficient duration.
When should I consider 215kWh versus 1MWh?
Use the required usable energy, power, duty cycle and expansion plan—not catalogue capacity alone. Review the 215kWh BESS and 1MWh BESS, then validate the choice from the actual load profile.
